Engr. R. A. Foster started his career as a maintenance engineer in hydro turbines and auxiliaries with National Electric Power Authority (now Power Holding Company of Nigeria) in 1985 at the Kainji Hydroelectric Power plant. He later moved to Generation Services in the Corporate Headquarters of PHCH, spent ten years before being redeployed for higher responsibilities at the Delta Thermal Power Station, Ughelli. Here he participated actively in the rehabilitation of Delta IV machines.
After a very fruitful and eventful tenure in Delta Power Station, he got relocated to Headquarters again, where he functioned in the Technical Inspection Unit of Generation Services. He was the Site Manager of Omoku Thermal Plant between 2006 and 2008 before becoming Head of Station of Olorunsogo Power plant between 2009 and 2011.
He joined the services of Szotyola Energy in 2013 after retiring from PHCN as a General Manager, Generation Services.
He is a member of the following professional societies and associations:

  • Member, Nigeria Society of Engineers – MNSE
  • Member, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers – MNimechE
  • Member, Nigerian Association of Technological Engineers – MNATE
  • Member, Institute of Appraisers and Cost Engineers – MIACE
  • Member, Nigerian Institute of Management – MNIM
